How to delete your account

You can permanently delete your Camdex account directly from the app:

1. Open Camdex and navigate to the Profile screen (tap the person icon in the bottom navigation bar).
2. Scroll down to the Danger Zone section.
3. Tap "Delete Account" and confirm when prompted.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

• Your authentication credentials (email, password)
• All inventory items (gear details, prices, serial numbers, notes)
• All uploaded images and thumbnails
• Market value data and cached lookups
• User profile and settings
• Subscription status (your subscription will also need to be cancelled separately via Google Play)

What is not deleted

• Anonymized, shared market value cache entries (these contain no personal data)
• Your Google Play or App Store subscription — you must cancel this separately through your device's subscription settings to avoid continued billing

Data retention

Account deletion is processed immediately. No personal data is retained after deletion. There is no waiting period or recovery window.

Alternative: request deletion by email

If you are unable to access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing us at support@camdex.io with the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 7 business days.
